CULTURAMA

CULTURAMA is a large panoramic display that surrounds the audience in 180 degrees. It is a half circular shape that is 11 meters in diameter; however, it can be customized to have different shapes. In addition, there is a huge computer display area with; this area is used to deliver wide range of information that could have never been delivered using standard computer display. Examples of such information are historical time lines, panorama of real scenes and sites, visual comparison between many items and the clear display of large objects. Moreover, we have introduced a new concept of multimedia development to utilize this huge display area. At last but not least, we have made use of regular equipments represented in regular workstations and regular video projectors in addition to implementing the semicircular screen using flat projection screens. The use of those familiar equipments made CULTURAMA


All multimedia programs on CULTURAMA are available in three languages: Arabic, English and French. CULTURAMA was totally developed at CULTNAT to present the extraordinary Egyptian heritage information documented at the centre.


The main CULTURAMA show takes the audience into a journey through time from the Pharaonic Civilization to the modern Egypt and through the Coptic and Islamic eras as well.


Locally, CULTURAMA is a patented invention in Egypt, Patent #23651; CULTNAT also applied for a patent internationally in more than 6 different regions around the world. The International Preliminary Examination Report has been issued and has 11 items in which CUTLURAMA is unique
