Scientists of the Islamic World
The project documents the history of scientists in various scientific and Intellectual fields. The project holds a database of a huge set of scientists, not limited to those linked to Egypt but extends to cover most of scientists who enriched Islamic civilization over the vast area covered by Muslim rule. The project also documents the new theories and inventions derived from their historic knowledge and research. The project documents manuscripts and museum pieces related to these scientists. The project will disseminate the documented information in forms of culturama, portal, publication, in addition to celebration of scientist’s millennium and/ or special occasions. We inaugurated first phase of this project in the millennium of the famous Muslim surgeon Abu Al Qasim al Zahrawi who passed away in 1013 AD.
The project aims to highlight the glory of Islamic civilization manifested in the history of scientists of the Muslim world including their scientific achievements and inventions.
